When you receive the trap it's in "deep sleep". You can start the device by holding down both switches until the LED turns on. For more information check the Quick start guide or click here for the instruction video.
You can reset the trap by pressing both buttons (1 and 2) simultaneously. Press the buttons until the LED turns red. The trap will now re-run its start-up procedure. After about 3 seconds, the LED goes out and the trap is in normal mode.
If the trap is temporarily unused, you can put it into the "deep sleep" mode. This way the battery lasts longer. Just keep both buttons (1 and 2) pressed for about 5 seconds until the red LED turns off. The trap is now in "deep sleep" mode.
The trap is programmed to send every 30 hours a message. If the update message is not received by the network, the portal will show a time-out. When the message isn't received by the portal the trap goes in time-out modus when after a day the signal is received by the portal the trap will be joined.
You can create an account in the Xignal app by clicking on the button "create account" in the Login window. Then fill in your personal information and password. When done, click on the button "sign up". Now you are ready to use the Xignal app.
You can sign up a trap by clicking on the settings icon on the top-right of the page and then click on "Traps". Click on the orange "Register" button and insert the serial number, which you can find under the QR code on the back of the trap. You can give the trap a name and assign it to a collection. When done click on submit.
You can easily upload a floorplan to a new or existing collection. Just edit or create a collection and click on "Browse", go through your documents and select the specific floorplan and click on "Open" and then click on "Submit".
